About Us
Mont Blanc Gourmet was founded in 1985 by Michael and Irene Szyliowicz. Turning a passion into a profession, the Szyliowicz’s trained as chocolatiers in Paris, and worked in some of the finest Parisian chocolateries. While training in Europe they became more interested in hot cocoas and coffee drinks.
When Mont Blanc Gourmet opened in the US, we decided to create a unique recipe for a hot cocoa, marrying European flavor with American convenience. It was so popular that new flavors of cocoa have been added to meet the growing demand.
Based on feedback from coffee shop owners and our customers we created a line of dark chocolate, white chocolate and caramel syrups. They are now known as Classique, the foundation of the Mont Blanc product line. From there, we have added frozen blender drink mixes, delicious drinking chocolate, sugar-free chocolate and caramel syrups and we have more products in the works!
At Mont Blanc, we pride ourselves on creating the highest quality products with the most efficient packaging and everything is designed to be operationally friendly. We have been fortunate enough to work with some of the largest companies in the industry and develop strong relationships with independent shops.
